MFT Ingenious Inking | May 2015

Hello! Today I have a card to share for the May MFT Ingenious Inking challenge. This month we're using My Favorite Things inks to create fun watercolour looks. I decided to use some of my favourite dye ink refills and create a watercolour background for my card.

I used watercolour paper to create my background and then I diecut it (once it was dry) using the stitched rectangle from the Blueprints 20 die-namics. I love the finished the edge the die gives the final cardstock panel.

I first covered the watercolour paper with plain water and then I added in colour from the Summer Splash and Razzle Berry dye ink refills. I just put some on a craft mat and used a paint brush to mix the colour into some water and add it to the background piece.

Once I had the colours how I wanted them I let the piece completely dry before adding my stamping. I used the Bold Statements stamp set for the sentiment as well as some of the stars from the Totally Happy stamp set and stamped them all in black ink.

I then added clear Wink of Stella glitter over the top of all the black stamping for some added sparkle and I finished the card by adding some clear sequins and a few dots of silver stickles.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog today for more great projects from the creative team for this months Ingenious Inking challenge. ;)
