MFT November Creative Challenge

Hello and welcome to the November My Favorite Things Creative Challenge. Red and green are beautiful and traditional but also, a bit predictable this time of year. This month, we’re thinking outside the box by applying non-traditional color schemes to our Christmas crafting.

For my card I decided to use the Santa image from the Christmas Cuteness stamp set and the tree from the Trim the Tree stamp set to create a non-traditional colour palette - one of my favourites for holiday crafting! ;)

I stamped the tree onto a white cardstock panel with Summer Splash ink and used Cement Gray for the trunk. I then stamped the Santa, coloured him with bright pink Copic markers and cut him out. I adhered him the right of the Christmas tree with foam adhesive and added some grey Copic marker under him and the tree for shadows.

I stamped the sentiment onto a speech bubble that I cut out from the Photo Booth Props Die-namics and adhered it to the left of the tree with foam adhesive. I trimmed the white cardstock panel down to 3 3/4" wide and adhered it to a Summer Splash card base with a strip of silver glitter paper.

I completed the card by stamping some small snowflakes around Santa and the tree with Sno Cone and Grout Gray ink.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog to see some more cards created by the design team featuring non-traditional holiday colours.

Thanks for stopping by! Be back soon! ;)
