MFT December Release Countdown | Day 1

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the My Favorite Things December release countdown! For today's card, I created a colourful design using the new Watercolor Stripes background stamp and a sentiment from the new Amazing stamp set.

For my card, I added multiple colours of dye ink onto the stamp, two stripes at a time. I started at the top with yellow and then worked my way down with orange, red, pink, blue and green until all of the stripes were covered.

Once all of the ink was on the stamp, I spritzed it a few times with water and then I laid my watercolour panel directly on top. I used my fingers to push the paper into the stamp all over and then carefully lifted it off of the stamp. The stamped stripes will definitely be wet and need some time to dry before you assemble the card.

Once everything was dry, I diecut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a black cardstock mat before adhering it to a white top-folding card base. I then stamped the sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I adhered it to the card front with foam adhesive and added some silver string underneath it for a bit of texture and detail on the simple card design.

To see how I created the card you can watch the video below:
