Round Here: MFT January Release Countdown

Hello and welcome to day 2 of the January My Favorite Things release countdown. Today's product reveals include the awesome new Chemistry themed stamps and dies from Laina Lamb Design and the Bling it On stamp set and Diamonds die-namics. I have two cards to share using these products. ;)

For my first card I used the new Chemistry Set die-namics and paired it with the Undeniable Chemistry stamp set to create a fun love-themed card.

I diecut all the pieces from white cardstock and coloured them in with Copic markers. I love that the Chemistry Set dies include both the beakers and test tubes as well as the fluid that goes inside of them.

Once I had all of the pieces coloured and adhered together, I put them on a white stitched rectangle panel and then I stamped a sentiment underneath from the the new Undeniable Chemistry stamp set. I love how awesome these go together and I'm pretty sure these stamps and dies are my favourite from this release. ;)

For my second card I used the new Bling it On stamp set with the Diamonds dies to create a sparkly, watercoloured card design.

I first created the watercolour background by adding pink and aqua colour onto a wet piece of watercolour cardstock and let the colours blend together and completely dry. Once it was dry I diecut it with a stitched rectangle die and then I adhered it onto a silver sparkle cardstock mat cut slightly larger.

I also watercoloured a small blue panel and once that was dry I diecut the solid pieces from the medium and small Diamonds die-namics. I diecut the outline overlay from silver glitter cardstock and adhered them together.

I stamped the sentiment from the Bling it On stamp set using black ink directly under the diamonds. Just make sure to really press down on the stamp when stamping onto watercolour paper to ensure you get a nice solid impression. I finished the card by adding some clear sequins scattered around the sentiment and diamonds and then adhered the finished panel to a white top-folding card base.
