My Favorite Things Ombre Love Tags

Hello and welcome to the January My Favorite Things Blueprints challenge. This month the creative team is sharing love-themed tags created using any of the Tag Builder Blueprints die-namics. I decided to use the Tag Builder Blueprints 5 dies along with a mix of different sentiment stamps on my tags.

To create my tags, I first diecut all of the pieces I would need from Smooth White cardstock and then I added ink to them with an ink blending tool. On the pink/red tags I used Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress inks and for the blue ones I used Mermaid Lagoon, Broken China and Tumbled Glass.  I love how the distress inks blend so effortlessly to create a cool ombre look on the tags.

Once I had all of the inking done, I added all of my stamped sentiments. I looked through all of my stamp sets and pulled out ones that had love themed sentiments that looked like they would fit on the tag area. Some of the ones I picked ended up being too big but I found some really great ones that look they were made to fit on the tags.

Once I had all of the sentiments stamped (I used Black Licorice Dye ink for all of them), I assembled all of the pieces of the tags and added a few details to some of them. I diecut some small hearts from some red-pink ombre inked paper and adhered them to a couple of the tags and also added some clear sequins. I didn't want to make the tags too busy, but I felt like they needed a little something so they didn't look so flat.

I adhered the tag reinforcements to the top and then added a thin piece of white satin ribbon to each one.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more love-themed tags created by the design team for this months challenge! ;)
