Hello and welcome to day 2 of the My Favorite Things March release countdown!
Today I have two cards to share using the new Sweet Succulents stamp set and the Get Down to Business stamp set. I am in love with the Sweet Succulents set... it is definitely my favourite from this months release. They are illustrated perfectly and are so fun to colour!
I created my card by first stamping the succulents and pots onto Smooth White cardstock with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and then I coloured them in with Copic markers. I stamped a bunch at once and just played around with colours until I found blends that I liked while still making them look somewhat realistic.
Once I had three of them in colours that I liked, I cut them out with scissors and then I adhered them onto a white cardstock panel. I added some shading underneath with a grey Copic marker to look like a shadow and then I stamped a sentiment underneath.
I adhered the panel onto a piece of Wild Wisteria cardstock since it matched the front plant perfectly and then I added the whole thing to a Grout Gray card base with foam adhesive.
For my second card I used the new Get Down to Business stamp set to create a clean and simple card using the shirt image from the set.
To create the card I stamped the shirt image onto a piece of Smooth White cardstock and then I coloured it in with Copic markers. I added a bit of detail by adding some white polka dots to the tie using a white gel pen.
I cut out a panel from the new Off the Grid paper pad with the Rectangle Double Stitched Stax dies and then I adhered the shirt on it with foam adhesive. I added some shading underneath to look like a shadow and then I stamped the sentiment underneath.
To complete the card I diecut and added some red hearts around the shirt and then I diecut a second panel with the same stitched die and layered them both onto a top-folding card base.
