Hello and welcome to the May My Favorite Things Blueprint Sketch challenge. This month we're using blueprints die-namics that have stars as the focal point of our designs. I love using stars.. there are so many things you can do with them and there are a bunch of great sizes and shaped in the blueprints line.
For my card, I used the Blueprints 8 die-namics to create a square sky scene, featuring the stars from the die set as well as the End of The Rainbow die-namics.
I created my card by diecutting the rainbow out of various cardstock colours and I cut the cloud out of white cardstock 4 times. I used three clouds on the actual card and one as a mask to add blue ink to create clouds in the background.
Once I had the clouds inked, I diecut a bunch of stars from the panel using the star dies from the Blueprints 8 set. I also cut a star from one of the clouds and stamped the sentiment beside it using the Count the Stars stamp set.
I backed the cloud with yellow cardstock and adhered the rainbow and all of the clouds to the stamped panel. I then backed the whole piece with more yellow cardstock using foam adhesive to create some shadows under the stars. I added the completed piece to a Grout Gray card base and added some clear sequins for some added dimension.

Hi Stephanie! I have a question about the cards you made with the misti and water coloring. That post had SO many comments, I knew mine would get lost there (ha ha) so I decided to ask my question here. I hope you don't mind. I have seen other crafters emboss a flower image with silver, white, gold FIRST, THEN go back and color the image. Your process was the opposite, stamping lightly with black, coloring the flower images and LASTLY placing the card back in the misti to be able to emboss with the highlighted silver around the edge. I am new to this and don't understand the benefits or just the difference between doing embossing first or last. I'm sure you have a thought out reason and I'd sure like to understand this process. The cards are delightfully pretty. Thanks in advance for answering my question when you have a free minute (that's a joke, right!!) Jeanne
