Hello! Today I have a card to share that I created with the new My Favourite Things Make a Wish
card kit! This bright and colourful birthday themed kit
includes everything you need to make a ton of cards including a
4x8 stamp set with coordinating dies, a 6x6 patterned paper pad, 8 premium dye ink cubes, and 14 sheets of cardstock.
And the best part... everything is perfectly coordinated
together so all you have to do is create! The kit officially releases tonight at 10pm and you can find all the details about the kit
and how it works on the MFT blog.
For my card today I used the kit products to create a colourful birthday card using primary colours and a bright green card base. I don't usually use coloured card bases but sometimes i love the splash of colour! ;)
I stamped all of the candles with the red, blue and green inks from the kit and diecut them all with the coordinating dies. Before adhering them to the card, I used some yellow ink and an ink blending tool and added a light circle of colour to the background behind where the flames will be.
Once I had the inking done, I adhered all of the candles and stamped the sentiment underneath with black ink. I then added the flames and hearts that I had diecut from silver and gold cardstock before adhering the finished panel to a green card base.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'll be back tonight with another card to share from the new Make a Wish card kit. Don't
forget to head over to the MFT blog for all of the details on this fun new kit and to see more samples from the creative team!
