Hello and welcome to day 5 of the My Favorite Things January release countdown. For the next 5 days, we're counting down to
the January 2017 release, sharing cards and ideas using the new products.
For today's card I used the new Once Upon a Time stamp set (and coordinating dies) with the new Castle Die-namics to create a fun little fairy tale scene on my card. ;)
I diecut the castle four times and added grey colour to them using distress inks. I also cut out two of the grass pieces from the new Mailbox Die-namics and added green distress ink to those.
I knew I wanted to create a little bridge for my princess to sit on, so I diecut a thin strip using the new Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 die and then added the same grey ink to it that I used for the castles.
Before I adhered all the elements to the card, I used distress ink and added colour to my white cardstock panel for grass and water. I then adhered the castles, the grass and the bridge. I stamped the princess and two butterflies from the Once Upon a Time stamp set, coloured them in with Copic markers and then added them to my scene.
I finished it off with some fish that I stamped from the new Otterly Love You stamp set (coming soon!) in the water under the bridge and one up beside the princess that 'jumped' out of the water. ;)
Thanks so much for joining me for day 5 of the January release countdown.
All of the new products that we're sharing all week will officially be
