Round Here: Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit

I am finally getting a chance to post one of the projects I made with the Simon Says Stamp June card kit and I have to say.... this kit rocks!! It is perfect for weddings, anniversaries, and everyday friendship cards as well. I love the soft feminine feel to it and plan on getting a lot of the special occasion cards I need for this summer created with it.

For today's card I decided to make a friendship panel card that holds a bookmark. I used the My Favorite Things Fishtail Flags Stax to cut out a few sizes of banners and layered them together for the base of the bookmark. I then added the friend stamp sentiment and adhered some hearts I stamped on the text paper with the swirl heart stamp included in the kit. To give the hearts a little texture without adding bulk (since its a bookmark I wanted to keep it pretty flat) I covered each one in the Star Dust Stickles from the kit.

I created the tassle out of the baker's twine from the kit. They are so easy to make and look great on bookmarks. The base of the card is just a panel (it doesn't open) and the sentiment is just written on the back. I cut off the top of the glassine envelope, punched it with a scalloped border punch and then adhered it to the card to hold the bookmark.

Such a cute card and bookmark! Do you have a tutorial (or a link to one) for how to make the tassel? It makes the bookmark look so lovely, and way better than any storebought bookmark. Thanks for the chance to win this great kit! :)

Stephanie, this is BEAUTIFUL! Oh my, I love your colors and how all of your elements work together... just gorgeous. I have yet to succumb to these kits, but seeing what everyone is doing with them is making it harder and harder to resist! LOL
