His & Hers Online Card Class

Hello!!

A new online card class started this week called 'His & Hers' that focuses on both feminine and masculine card ideas.
I usually never manage to complete any cards for these classes when they are actually in progress, and I was determined to take part in this one. So I sat down tonight and created a couple of cards.

I decided to use the exact same design and products but change them up a bit to get a more feminine/masculine look on each of the cards.

Happy Birthday - His

Happy Birthday - Hers

Supplies:

A little info about the cards:

- I diecut the falling stars and the falling hearts out of the Simon Says Stamp woodgrain cardstock and then 'painted' them with distress ink mixed with water. I love love the woodgrain cardstock and the possibilities with it are endless!!! Such a fun product!! ;-)

-  I kept the feminine card heart themed and the masculine one star themed. The main diecut accent on each of them is also the woodgrain paper covered with broken china distrss ink.

- For a little added detail, I added glossy accents to the brown diecut stars and sparkles to the brown diecut hearts.

- I layered white cardstock under each of the diecut panels so the hearts and stars would stand out. Against the desert storm cardstock, they seemed to get lost.

- I used a fun Paper Smooches sentiment on both cards. I love the playful look of their sentiment stamps and think that they work well on both types of cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Be back soon -
Steph ;)
