You Matter Very Much | Stamping Flowers

Hello! Today I have a card to share that features the new Friendly Flowers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp's latest This Is The Life release.

I love these flower stamps because they stamp a solid image rather than an outline. I really love outline stamps, but solid stamps are awesome for a completely different look and fun techniques. ;)

To create the flower image on my card, I first stamped the leaf image in the background twice. I wanted the leaves to show completely around the flower, so I stamped it once and then stamped it again on the opposite side so they form a circle type shape. They overlapped a bit in the center, but I didn't worry about that since I knew the flower would cover that.

I stamped the actual flower onto white cardstock with Doll Pink ink, cut it out and adhered it directly on top of the leaves with foam adhesive. I also stamped on a stem and a small leaf.

I used a sponge dauber to add some green colour to the center of the flower and then added some detail with a white gel pen. I love the depth and dimension that it gives the flower. To complete the card, I added some sequins (I can't seem to create a card without them lol!!) and a few gems. ;)
