Smile | Colouring Diecuts

Hello! Today I have a card to share that uses the Lily Die-namics die set from My Favorite Things. I've had these dies since they first came out and have never used them, so I decided to pull them out the other day and make a card!

My original plan was to have pink and white lilies, but once I finished colouring them, I realized they looked more like a dark peach than the brighter pink colour I was going for. But I think they turned out pretty similar to what I envisioned. ;)

Once I had all of the flower pieces coloured (I used Copic markers to colour them all), I used a Tim Holtz Distress marker in Fired Brick to add some little dots to the centers of the flowers. The fine tip edge of the marker was the perfect size to do this and I love how realistic it made the flowers look! ;)

Once the petals were all glued on, I bent up some of the petals with my fingers to give them dimension and make them look more realistic. I love how the pink softens into white tips on the flower petals... looks so pretty!

To complete the card, I stamped on the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Smile stamp set. I love how you can add a bunch of different sentiments with the word Smile... so many possibilities with this set.

I added Judikins sparkle embossing powder over the word Smile for some added detail and also added some clear Wink of Stella onto the centers of the flower petals. A few sequins and liquid pearls completed the card! ;)

Winner

I also want to announce the winner of the September Simon Says Stamp card kit!
