Sailboat Card | Glitter Diecut Inlay

Hello! Today I have a card to share that uses the Go Overboard stamp set and Sailboat craft die from My Favorite Things. I've had both of these products for quite awhile and I love the awesome, bol sentiments in the stamp set that work so perfectly with the Sailboat die.

I decided to do the diecut inlay technique with the boat (where the diecut sits inside the paper so everything is completely flat on the card front) and glam it up a bit by making the sailboat glittery! ;)

To add a little colour to the grey and black sparkle on the boat, I diecut a heart out of one of the sails and then inlayed a pink glitter heart. Then I made the whole panel pop off the card front with the same pink glitter paper in thin strips on both sides of the white cardstock piece.

I decided to use light grey cardstock for the card base but it looked a little plain. I gave it a little more detail and dimension by adding some waves using the Simon Says Stamp Waves stencil with an ink blending tool and Fog ink. I love the subtle detail it adds to the background! ;)

To complete the card I added some Pretty Pink Posh sparkling sequins and Hero Arts gems around the sentiment and the boat image.
