MFT February Release | Release Rewind

Hello! Today I have a few more cards to share that use products from the new February My Favorite Things release. I love this release so much and cannot put the new products down! I still have so many ideas for cards that I want to create. ;)

For my first card, I used the new Headphones die-namics, the Keep On Rockin' stamp set and the Equalizer stencil. If you know me you know I love the die-namics that look like realistic products once they're diecut and glued together, so I am in LOVE with the headphones!

To create this card, I first created the background using the Equalizer stencil and Blu Raspberry dye ink. I used an ink blending tool to add the ink and started at the bottom for the darkest colour and then went lighter as it went up. I like the look of the ink colour fading out towards the top.

I stamped the sentiment directly on the background inking in black ink and added headphones to the center above the sentiment. I cut the headphones out of black and grey cardstock so there was a slight contrast in the colours. I love how real they look! ;)

For my second card, I used the new Somebunny stamp set and the Stitched Rectangle Frames to create a shaker scene with vellum. I created the background first with Sour Apple and Sno Cone cardstock and then layered my vellum shaker portion over the top.

I made the shaker frame slightly smaller than the background piece so the scene would extend past the shaker. I love how it turned out to have the scene continue outside of the frame and act as a mat around the white frame.

I stamped and coloured one of the bunnies and added it to the frame with foam adhesive. I also stamped and coloured a balloon and added it to the sky to make it look like it was floating away. I covered it with glossy accents to give it some dimension and shine.

I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set and stamped it on one of the clouds that I cut out from the coordinating dies. I also cut a few of the clouds from vellum and layered them with the white cardstock ones for more detail.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for links to amazing projects from the other MFT creative team designers! Thanks for stopping by! ;)
