Home | Creating a Scene with Diecuts

Hello! Today I have a card to share that uses the houses, trees, stars and hearts that I coloured during the Daily Marker 30 Day colouring challenge in June (a fun challenge on Instagram that encourages colouring each day for a month). Now that the month is over I have a bunch of coloured images that need to go on cards, so this is the first from the pile. ;)

I love the Hearth & Home dies from the Essentials by Ellen collection and loved colouring them all in with Copic markers. I diecut them all first from Neenah Solar White cardstock and then coloured them in with various colours.

I used patterned papers from Lawn Fawn to create the background of the scene and then I added my 'neighbourhood' pieces on with liquid glue. I love the addition of the stars and the single heart over the grey house so it kind of stands out form the rest.

The sentiment is from the Avery Elle Home Sweet Home stamp set.... I thought it went perfectly on this card design. I stamped it with black ink directly on the grass and then completed the card with some glossy accents on the little red heart. ;)

  1. I love this! Gorgeous colouring and beautiful card. I'm managing to get round to using some of my colouring. Can't wait for the next challenge! Xx
