Hello! I am so excited to be taking part in the Newton's Nook Deck the Halls with Inky Paws event this week! Today I have a guest post over on the Newton's Nook blog and I'm sharing the project I created here as well!
I love the new Newton's Nook holiday stamp sets that were released this year and couldn't wait to get inky with them! For my card today, I used the Holiday Smooches stamp set to create a super cute, but simple card.
The sentiment stamp was stacked, which didn't work for my card design, so I carefully cut it in half with my scissors and mounted it on my block in a straight line. I then stamped it on black cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder before adhering it to my card.
Make sure to visit the Newton's Nook blog all this week to see some great projects from lot's of great designers! I'll be back with some more Newton's Nook fun later this week! ;)

This is SO adorable! I just love those cute seals with the polka dot winter hat and scarf! I can't believe you cut the stamp - I'm always afraid to do that but I love how it gives you more options! Thanks so much for being part of our Deck the Halls with Inky Paws week!

ReplyDeleteThis is so cute - I love the blue wash background. I've never cut a sentiment in half at all - it seems slightly scary!! xx
