Hello and welcome to my stop on the Simon Says Stamp blog hop! Today we are sharing projects created with the newest release: Cold Hands, Warm Heart!
I created two cards today that use one of my favourite products from the newest release: Stitched Slope and Hills! I love these dies because they are so unique... the cut dies and the matching stitched dies are actually separate pieces! Which means you can cut them with no stitching, add the stitching, add two rows of stitching, use only the stitching... well you get the idea!! ;) So so fun!!
On my first card, I used the dies to cut pieces that all fit together on the card front. I used two different hills and added the stitching on all sides. I kept them all together to stamp and emboss my snowflakes. When I adhered them to the white cardstock piece, I left a little white border between each to really make the shape and stitching stand out.
For my second card, I used the dies how they were intended and created snow hills for the fun stitched trees from the Line Shape Die set. I cut them out of watercolor paper so they would have a fun texture. I love how one of the dies cuts a hill on the top and also adds a stitched line to make it look like two hills.
I stamped the sentiment from the Peace on Earth stamp set that came out for STAMPtember® and added a stitched heart to one of the trees. (oops... once again my glossy accents is still wet in the photo lol!!)
I love the contrast between the two shades of green and the blue trees. I think they look great together and offer a little bit of non-traditional colour, which I love on holiday cards. The background is the new Trees background stamp, heat embossed with the same Ranger Silver Pearl embossing powder that I used on the snowflake card.
